TRIADS is a clinical framework developed by the UCSF Center to Advance Trauma-informed Health Care (CTHC) in collaboration with UCSF Child Trauma Research Program (CTRP).
TRIADS was developed in the context of the California ACEs Learning and Quality Improvement Collaborative (CALQIC). CALQIC was an 18-month learning collaborative of 49 clinics in 15 clinic organizations across 7 regions in California led by CTHC and funded by the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) and the California Office of the Surgeon General (OSG). CALQIC’s goal is to integrate screening and response for ACEs in healthcare settings in a way that enhances connection between patients and providers, helps connect patients to services that they want and need, and leads to better outcomes, reduced disparities, and more positive experiences of care for all involved.
People
A multidisciplinary group of experts – including pediatrics, adult care, psychology, and social work – collaborated closely to bring TRIADS from concept to practice.
